The reason that the age limit is there and that there are a small amount of under 18's currently in the clan is because they are weird.

They are a minority of people, there have been many people who appear to be mature and under 18 and exceptions were made (used to be under 16's) but people abused the trust that was given to them. The others have earnt/gained the respect and trust to be in the clan to have a laugh.

The under 18 was more to stop people under 18 applying wasting poon's time.

If you prove that you are mature and not a dick like Scott (South Park reference) then an exception may be made.

And there is nothing immature about tits...if you are immature you don't have tits, all about puberty...

I'm not too sure how I can "prove" I'm mature, although I have played mixes with AoP members recently, all of whom seemed happy to have me playing.

If I was immature, and simply here to ruin you're gameplay and such, I would of done so by now, or moved onto another forum - but I'm determined to play with AoP in matches.

I do believe alot of other people that I've played mixes with would confirm such things, but from what I can see from a reply to BlackBlaze, they would not be permitted to do so.

Again, my point of people over the age of 18 being immature and "wasting poons time" has come up; just because you only allow over 18's to join, does not mean they are going to be any more mature than lets say, me.

I believe I've 'proved' I'm not immature by playing in the mixes I have so far, if you wish to ask around, the people whom have played with me will also say that I've never argued, said inappropriate things, or ruined the game by constantly talking - infact, I do the opposite, I only talk when and if required, thus allowing the team to play as effectively as is possible.

As of tomorrow I will be 17 years, and 6 months old - surely that's close enough to 18? As 6 months will not result in a sudden change of maturity.

I would also like to know if any of the reasons for my application being declined is a result of Nitro complaining about my ingame name containing [AoP wanna-be], which I believe he has been complaining about on the forums - however, it's not [AoP], therefore it's not 'infringing' on your clans name.

All I'm after now, is a real reason for my application being declined - because (as I seem to have to constantly point out) if I was immature, I would of posted "OMFGZ NOOBS I BLOW UR MUTHERZ UP KK?" by now and possibly, alot more.

Secondly, it is not Stupid to point out the OR. Too many under 18’s (previously U16’s as said) have pretended to be mature and sensible. But then they turn out to be a complete cock. So basically immature 17 year olds don’t bother and it says to anyone over 18 that they do not reserve the right to act like a twat.

There are several ways to view acting immaturely. There is having silly immature porno avatars and acting like a general prat (note the word prat and not twat – see above). This is also known as being a man, or in Sparksy’s case, a proper geezer. Then there is immaturity in a way, such as being unable to take part in real conversation and not being able to admit where you’re wrong or how to take a joke or by answering every question with the words “And your mom”

So, if you consider porno avatars to be immature, you are not a man nor a proper geezer and you have in fact failed our ‘maturity’ test.

Your smart arse posts are annoying me. You’re clearly more immature than you think because of how you’re wording your posts, disagreeing with our policies and telling us that we break our own rules and how silly that is and generally trying to sound more intelligent that you really are.

Our rules are exactly that. If you disagree with them then that is your prerogative. Unfortunately disagreeing with them does not mean we will change them. Trying to fit in does encourage “bending of the rules”. Trying to justify your application by comparing it to another does not.

The requirements are not set in stone and never have been but we do try to be a little stricter due to certain persons joining the clan and causing some rather unnecessary disruption. The fact that you are being argumentative (I am sure you will call it curiosity or a quest for knowledge or something, but really, you are just arguing) in your application thread is not beneficial to your cause.
Do you really think that any [AoP] member that hasn’t already played mixes with you or spoke to you on vent would be impressed with the kind of nonsense you are writing in this thread?

For the record, I'm not bothered about being declined from joining, I'm just interested in learning about the reasons behind what seems to be, a stupid policy.

Your arguments fall flat on their face when you use the word Stupid. The word stupid is indicative of low intelligence or reason. Our policies are there as a barrier to prevent problems caused that we have experienced in the past. This is therefore definitely not stupid as there is a reason for them being there and it took (in some form) intelligence to identify the need for some barrier.

Or perhaps it is just stupid of me to point out that your use of the word stupid in your stupid argument against our stupid policy is very stupid of me. What do you think?

I’m afraid to say your replies to my declination of your application have not exactly enamoured yourself to me... Please accept the fact that although in previous instances under 18's have been allowed to join, to use this as a reason to let you join no matter how fluently worded merely goes towards proving the recruitment policy correct.

I meant what I said regarding your application, you are more than welcome to keep using the server. If you had done this in the first instance rather than arguing the decision I would have been more likely to give you a trial based on your server ability and attitude....
