I thought it was actually pretty good when i saw it saturday night. Some funny bits, some sad bits, some OTT bits (the explosions). But all in all a good film.

Only thing is (this is probs me just bein geeky), the way they explain that all this happened wouldnt ever be able to happen i dont think? it was summin along the lines of the sun heated up and emitted loads more gas than usual, which somehow made the inner core melt and then the tectonic plates shifted out of place? But i dont understand how the core would melt and the crust not melt. But thats just me looking into it too much lol.

The so called "science" behind the film is complete non-sense as is the whole 2012 rubbish. Just a film to make $$$.

Yeah i agree. As i said, what it said happened could never happen. Also (me bein a geek again) their knowledge about tsunami's is shit. There was a boat the was out in the ocean above the epicentre of the earthquake and it got thrown over by giant waves. In real life they would have a little tiny shitty wave and probably not even realise it happened. So yeah it isnt best for science. But it is still a good film.

Boats especially out in the sea won't get toppled over as the depth of the water will just increase and the people on the boat probably won't realise.

The only things that tsunami's cause damage to is things that are in low depth water and across the shoreline.

No no no... In this film there was a MASSIVE wave. And then another massive wave. So that must be what happens :)
