Yes of course I know of the unconditional love but are you telling me you have never came out of a game and said "I want my money back after that!".
Yes a lot of films these days are poor but I don't go to see every film. If the reviews are good, I like the look of it and think it's something that by going to the cinema i think will enhance the experience then I would go. And since I don't have a quality speaker setup either, anything with explosions or big sound effects is usually better at the cinema anyway. It's nice to go out sometimes too. With someone maybe?
Oh and you even said yourself you haven't heard a bad word about inception yet, but you still won't get your wallet out!
So when was the last time you went to the cinema?

Re: Inception
Couple of weeks ago to see Toy Story 3 even though I had a downloaded copy which was a good enough copy. Pixar have earnt my trust, I haven't seen a single bad film by them.
I actually don't think I have ever thought "I want my money back" after a game, normally "that ref should be fined". You get used to losing, makes winning all that better.
Going to the cinema isn't really a social experience considering you can't talk during it. Costs £8 to see a film at my local cinema and an extra £1.50 for 3D, plus fuel and time to get there and back. I can download a pirate copy then buy the Blu-ray/DVD when it is released if I like it enough after watching the pirate copy.
Wall-E for example and Black Dynamite. I had both in full HD but still bought the Blu-ray's for them. Black Dynamite I even had to get an US import as there isn't a UK PAL version.
I also bought all of Prison Break on DVD and Fringe on Blu-Ray even though I already have it in HD from downloading.
I probably have around the same about of DVDs/Blu-rays in shrink wrap then I do not in shrink wrap. But of course, I am killing the industry by downloading and watching films I otherwise wouldn't have watched and if the film is good enough paid for.
How would you feel if you went to see a film at the cinema (lets say Far Cry) based on the hype of the game and reviews online, only to come out completely fucked off that you had been mugged to watch that shit? I only lost some of my time, you would lose your time and money. Think. Pirate.
Oh and another thing while I am at it. Why the fuck do I have to watch a 2 minute clip telling me about how pirating is wrong when I go to the cinema or buy a DVD/Blu-ray which I can't skip past, yet when I pirate I can watch the film straight away...

Re: Inception
LMAO, cant believe that, I started to watch Far Cry last night! What a crock of shit. Since when was Jack Carver a fucking German anyway? He was in Inglorious Bastards that guy I think. And whats with the dude that played Dan in Eastenders. He was in Rise of the Foot Soldier and of course, Cliffhanger! So he's not all that bad.skeletor wrote:How would you feel if you went to see a film at the cinema (lets say Far Cry) based on the hype of the game and reviews online, only to come out completely fucked off that you had been mugged to watch that shit? Yes I agree on the two minute clip about pirating being bad, its just a scare tactic so the oldies dont start downloading as well. Most other people already do!

Re: Inception
It's on Premiere as well, the "big release" over advertised channel.
