The 3.5mm socket is fairly standard and any PC speakers will definitely have it.

Assuming this is going to be connected to your TV. You would probably be better off buying some proper 5.1 speakers with a receiver. You can get them together with speakers.

That way, you can have your cyclone thingy, Virgin box and whatever else you have all going in to the AV receiver then the AV receiver goes through to the TV. Turn the volume on the TV all the way down to by pass the TVs speakers then all the audio comes out of your 5.1 system whether you are using your cyclone thingy or Virgin box.

I think almost all pc speaker sets have the same connection. If you want to use digital coaxial (which you do, because it's the best quality) you're gonna need a receiver. I have my computer connected to my audio set and my television. It's fantastic.

http://www.richersounds.com/products/ho ... -receivers

A few on there.

http://www.richersounds.com/product/1-b ... ts3405-blk That ones quite good, although £230 (might be able to get some money off if you went instore). Has shit loads of connectors so you would be able to connect everything up through it.

Doubt you will. They are likely the cheapest you will find (at least from someone with a store you can walk in to). Mine cost £400.

A receiver alone is going to cost at least £100, then you need to add speakers on to it.

Just need as many connections as possible.

Doesn't it have a network cable that you can stream stuff directly from your PC?
