Torres just proved to me that he is a class player. I hope he does well for Chelsea this year. Not because I like Chelski but I like to see good players do well. I also hope Rooney has a shit season so he doesn't get auto selected for England.

Even if Rooney plays shit (which you know he won't as Rooney understands Scottish) he will still be in the England team just like Beckham used to be.

That brings me nicely on to Team GB. Pearce is a joke. From memory I think there are only 2 Championship players in the 18-man squad and they are only Championship players because their clubs got relegated. Youngsters rotting away in a reserve team for a Premiership club is somehow better than actively playing Championship players.

Not really bothered about the individuals, it is more down to how Pearce has conducted himself and his statements make no sense i.e. players in form but chooses players who haven't played competitively all season.
