Talk about films etc. 1 film per thread. Lets keep it tidy.

Total Recall

Post by BlacKBlazE »

Well I don't remember it being so soppy and I couldn't remember much from the original
I watched it all but at points I was just looking down at my phone checking facebook... which sums it up overall.
Spoiler:Highlight the text in the black area to see it.and you don't get to see any third boob either.
I don't even know how long this film is on for so... if you have a few hours that you'd rather kill with an action film go for it
otherwise I'd just say it was far overrated but many of you are more sci-fi lovers than me but there you go.

You sound stoned. And I didn't read the spoilers...

The original was not soppy at all. Just a cool sci fi flick.

I haven't seen it, but I also don't see the point of a remake. The original is brilliant.

I downloaded the original in HD (was rereleased recently) the other day, haven't watched it yet though. I don't think I will bother with the remake.

I don't get remakes like this. I understand comic book remakes like the reinvention of Batman using the Dark Knight comics and the new spiderman as the last franchise went stale, but to remake what was essentially a one off movie (was it a short story originally or something) I do not get. There is a new Judge Dredd coming out which I can understand doing.

What is there to understand? It's down to money.

A lot easier to remake an old film with a good following behind it then try and be original.

Watched the remake last night, I thought it was alright although I haven't seen the original yet, maybe I'll watch that tonight and compare.

And...
Spoiler:Highlight the text in the black area to see it.The 3 titted woman was in it. That bit must have been cut out of what you watched (which I assume was cinema version)
