ok atm im using a small HD ready tv with the rigg. samsung monitor went tittys the other week. to be fair my eyes cant tell the differnce... its plugged in via the HDMI outlet from the gtx 570. so why cant i just get say a hd ready 32" tv....instead of a new monitor??? what will i gain from a new monitor that a tv wont give me ??

Monitors can handle more resolutions (although you only really use one possibly more if you have to play games at a lower res), they are also generally cheaper as they don't have upscalers, speakers (generally) or built-in freeview but they also generally have faster refresh rates/response times which means they update more often.

If you don't think you can tell the difference between the two then feel free to go with the TV.

I have both connected. Play games on my monitor and watch movies etc. on the tv. Tv is better quality in my case.

they are also generally cheaper
well i saw a jvc 32"FULL HD tv for £219 so that will be better on the pocket than a big monitor i reckon... and you can get cheaper ones from tesco for about £189... the devil spawn have one in thier bedroom.. not to bad for that price.
