cs:go crash issue
cs:go crash issue
im using a GTX 570 never had any probs before... i didnt think csgo was particularly demanding and i played it before when we first had it ok... but since we have all been having a go again i have had the old blue sreen of death a few time now after about 15 mins of playing time... cleaned it out all good ..all other games ok bf4/evil within/alien isolation .. just csgo.. i did furtest stress test and it crashed after it got to 80c after 10 mins.. and the other furtest got me only 32fps on 1080 ... any ideas

Re: cs:go crash issue
Shouldn't crash at 80c, they normally get hotter without too much fuss.
Have you tried uninstalling the drivers, cleaning out the drivers then reinstalling?

Re: cs:go crash issue
no i updated a driver a couple of weeks ago using Nvidia's auto update thing.... maybe I should delete them all and just do the latest one.. I know you used to have to manually delete the current one then reinstall the new one but this nvidia control panel should do it for you... will have a play

Re: cs:go crash issue
Easiest thing to do is reinstall Windows and see if that sorts it and rules out any potential hardware issue. It's most likely software.
Re: cs:go crash issue
HMM the whole rig has so much crap on it that I don't won't to loose and my other HD inside has been unpluged because it has failed ... i could do with transfering all the shite onto another HD or maybe invest in one of those SSDreinstall Windows

Re: cs:go crash issue
yeah still doing it.. havent done windows yet... if i do it will keep everything in windows old folder ..but i know some programs wont run from it.. done a bit of overclocking... still did it.. did core temp, cpu temps got as hot as 62c when i ran a stress test on it.. so not to bad.. furtest stress test got the gpu to 82c with 31fps. mem test says no problems. i have unpluged and unistalled a webcam that i put back on recently as it was saying the device was obsolite. Its only games can watch full 1080p or i films and tv ok without problems .. i can download and rebuild large files which uses alot of memory up but doesnt crash... just css/cs;go and bf4 .

Re: cs:go crash issue
Sounds like hardware is fine but some stupid little software bug is causing issues under certain circumstances which likely would be solved by reinstalling Windows although it is a pain in the arse as you have to reinstall everything.
Re: cs:go crash issue
WELL things are going from bad to worse.. tried to put a new HD in last night.. it found it.. couldnt format it.. then all hell broke loose. the rig will now not turn off unless i flick the switch at the back.. i couldnt get into the bios when i finally got it to restart.. tried all sorts hardware removal and fitting to no avail. managed to get it started again but i fear its the motherboard itself.. managed to get into the bios tonigh.. mucked about.. still wont turn off..and still keeps crashing.. motherboard is obsolite as well.. socket 1155 gygabyte atx one.. bidding on fleabay now
