Seen him live twice . It is definately worth seeing him live, he brings his act and humour together and obviously live you get to experiance it yourself which shows like what he's doing isn't done with actors and shit so it is actually real.

It was done with a cat.

Basically everything he does is to do with psychology (even though he never studied psychology at uni or anything, just self taught himself). He uses neuro linquistic programming (for those people like blaze, neuro = brain/thoughts, linquistic = use of language, programming = ... dont have to spell that out) so basically he uses words to make people think stuff (such as when he convinced a woman her car was black wen it was red thru talking to her). Hypotism... everyone should know what that is. Machinery tricks e.g computers, light effects etc. Memory stratergies of which it would take me a long time to type out so i cba. And just general magic stuff such as slight of hand.

The lottery thing was obviously a trick. The only way that it would not be a trick and he actually worked it out is if he worked out the weight of all the balls and then worked out how they would all bounce etc etc. But i doubt even he would be sad enough to sit there and do that so there probably is a trick to it. P.S. Im not like a massive fan of his that like knows EVERYTHING about him and has posters of him all over my wall and shit like that. Yeah i am a fan because his work is pretty impressive, and yeah i have seen everything he has ever done. But thats cause i study psychology . And obviously he is one of the big names in psychology now-a-days.

A lot of people think that Derren Brown claims to be psychic and are like 'Oh yeah i know who you mean, that psychic dickhead' when infact most of his big shows (such as the seance) he made to prove that people talking to the dead is a load of shit and all they do is make people believe that they are.

And he use to be a hardcore Christian until he started researching it in depth (the psychology behind it anyway. Why people believe etc) and then worked out its a load of bullocks and people just believe it because they have to have an answer to the unknown because they are scared of it basically. So in the olden days they didn't know how the world was made etc so they said it was god.

Not entirely true. Back then it was pretty much against the law not be religious, if you weren't you were pretty much sentanced to death. Whether you believed in a deity or not you had to appear in public to.

Unfortunately the really religious will never see the truth in anything that Derren Brown says, they are the people that still think evolution is a load of rubbish and that God made everyone and everything.

Its because (my geeky side comes out again) when he started up there was another entertainer guy called Darren Brown so he made his stage name Derren Brown so that people would know who is who because they was about as well known as each other. His name is actually Darren Brown. But now obviously because he has got so famous even if some said it Darren Brown and not Derren Brown they would think of him rather than the other geezer.

now he should have done more of that sort of stuff... instead of loads of balls all tumbling around, he could have used 48 live kittens that had been branded to get the numbers on them....... then after the show he could have sold them to one of those labs that make them choff lipstick.... make a few quid as well..

I have a theory of how he did it. Thought it up while watching the video again.

Basically he was standing on the right hand side with the t.v and the balls were on the left hand side from when the tv was on and the camera was still. So maybe when the tv was switched on the left hand side was like still screen (so that all you could see was the balls) and then the second camera man came (because he didnt have to do any camera work) and changed the balls or wrote on them the numbers when they were announced because derren stood there frozen for a bit after they were announced so he could have been waiting for the second camera man to be finished. And then they took still screen off so that it was back into real time again so derren could walk to the left side of the screen again and reveal the right balls.

I know this could be completely wrong but i think it is a pretty good theory. And no one of which i have seen has thought it up. So THEREFORE if i am right i am claiming being a genius . And i also know that someone could have seen the left side like flash wen it was changing from still screen back to real time but who knows. Guess we will find out tonight .

That is not your theory. I have seen that theory on another forum and a video created by someone else on Youtube which shows the process in action. It is basically a green screen on the left side of the camera lens which then allows you to project the original image of the balls on the video with the right hand side playing like normal.

Ahhh damn someone beat me to it . But i did actually think that up myself while watchin a vid of it. And is it me or in that youtube vid i cant see the ball moving? :S
