Source Filmmaker is free. Just in beta at the moment.

If you are making a commercial film like the one that Rev posted then I think you might need to pay a licence fee.

I think the idea is that Indie films can be made as easily as indie games using the Source engine. With Steam as a distribution tool it can soon give a lot of customers visibility of the film as well which is the long term goal.

Steam is basically going to take over the world. And after that, Tesco's.
