They did lay a few clues down as to who did it although it would have been hard for the casual viewer to notice on first watch (and probably multiple watches).

ruddy heck... means i will have to look at it again,... id have said grandmother or new wife same as blaze... i half expected tiryans whore bitch to be cooked in the pie when it got brought in...

Was expecting that to be part of the season finale but they stretched it out to a whole episode which will make the finale even more interesting.

That's the episode that I was expecting. Although due to taking some bits out from the books some bits didn't make a whole lot of sense.
