We've got a few decent youngsters but I don't think they are good enough for first team,
If we sell we need to buy but we won't and if we do they will be from League 1 or 2

Re: Premiershit/Championship 2013/14
Looks like We've already put a price tag on Ings by the looks of it 7 million is what we are looking for...
I really can't stand the board at this club complete and utter money grabbing cunts.

Haven't seen much of him but I would say £7m is a fairly high estimate. £4-4.5m would have been more reasonable.

Re: Premiershit/Championship 2013/14
To be fair Blaze you're better off being a selling club and actually existing as opposed to turning into the next Portsmouth. Finances dominate the game now and rich clubs get richer whilst poorer clubs get poorer and are left to fight over the scraps. If you didn't sell you'd be taking big gambles on getting to the Prem and if you failed you'd fall twice, thrice as far in the opposite direction.
We tried the big time spending route with Sven and it didn't work. Luckily the owners realised that wasn't the answer before fetching Pearson back in to stabilise the club and the squad. Luckily our owners appear to be here for the long haul and it's meant we can deal with the losses we had and have another go over time. If you did what we did, you'd be fucked right now. There is no doubt a lot of out spending has been on club infrastructure and the youth academy but there was a lot on players too. We're lucky not to be in a mess.
Forest have been fairly under the radar with their spending this season (probably because it isn't Sven in charge) but I'll be interested to see what happens to them if they don't go up. QPR are spending like crazy but having a Fat Cat owner and the ridiculous parachute payments means they have no FFP fears and don't have any excuse not to go up with the squad they have.

Ings is good but no where near worth 7 and We won't get 7 million for him I bet if a club offers 4 upfront then we'll sell that's just
the way we roll.
I know that Jim but we are once again on course to get play-offs and by January all our chances are going to go down the shitter.
Burnley will always be a Championship club

I've only just realised this thread is called Permiershit
Yeah I see what you mean. Starting well (second above us now) only to sell your players in Jan. From a fan point of view you want them to hold on and sell in the summer after seeing where you finished. From a board point of view the inflated price of "in form" players in January is too inviting to pass up. Awkward. January must be like a double post Christmas depression for Burnley fans!

Re: Premiershit/Championship 2013/14
To be honest there aren't many teams that I could see Ings getting a starting position in unless there are injuries so if it was one of the big teams there could be a loan back like we had with Zaha but I'm not sure one of the big 4/5 will go for him.
Sunday was shit, mainly because I hate watching football on a Sunday. Football should be on Saturday at 3pm. Made a very average Swansea side look great as we couldn't actually pass the ball to our players.

Re: Premiershit/Championship 2013/14
We'll have to see what happens in January but like I say we always sell even when slight interest comes along
like Austin our board couldn't give a flying toss if it's a team in our league or not so I could easily see him being sold back
to Bournemouth and there have already been rumours they want him, So I can see him gone by January and our biggest problem is our squad is already one of the smallest in the league so halfway through I can see his dropping a lot of points unless we buy.
Ings is still only 21 and He's a starter for us now and He's scoring goals so wouldn't put it past the likes of Cardiff, Palace ect to go for him, I didn't get to see any of the highlights this week due to being out all I know is United got smashed, Spurs won and Di Canio got the sack after 13 games

Whoever though that giving Di Canio the Sunderland job would be a good idea should no longer have a job themselves.
