Re: Final Fantasy XIII

I don't have the FAQ, at times I have been looking at the ones on GameFAQs.

Lightning is a good commander too. I have her with her tier 2 weapon. :D

I start off most battles with com/syn/syn after a few seconds they all have haste, protect, shell, bravery, faith, vigilence and have the magic applied to them if a monster is weak then switch to com/rav/rav unless they are mechanic then I do med/sab/sab do cast deprotect and deshell, or if they have bad attacks it will be com/rav/med

Are you still on the platforms or are you past that?

Also Tier 3 weapons add another ATB slot

The thing I don't understand is what happens to the Crystarium after the final boss? To be able to get really high HP, strength and magic, the last level must be huge or each item is worth a lot.

I have hardly done any missions, think I did 6-7 of the optional ones then the ones in the tower which were mandatory.

Edit: Looks like you can't get 999,999

yeah same, just cleared it. Typical Final Fantasy saves the best till the end. Last hour you play it you just think " This is the best game ever"

Last boss fights are really cool, annoyin if you dont do them right but very enjoable if you do.
Ending is the best so far, very FF VII like ( youl spot it yourself )

In short: Graphics are best to date
Story is by far one of the greatest stories ever told film book or game
Cutscenes, particuarly the end one, are the most accomplished of all final fantasys
Characters are some of the best so far ( in terms of story ect )

If it wasnt for the linearity and the lack of stats this would be possibly one of the greatest games of all time, including 6 and 7

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cleared it too. CGI at the end is incredible.

Did the first boss fight fine, orphan I fucked up on big time first time but owned the second time, the second form orphan was piss easy though. Looking back, the boss fights were actually easier than the fights leading up to them. The group of those 3 birds plus the ci'eth creatures was fucking hard.

Looks like we don't get to fight that big fuck off monster that ate the small dinosaur/tortoise.

yeah was thinking bout that big fucker, i wont get to play any more of it no for another 3+ months, sending my laptop and xbox back to ireland. so youl need to update me bout the other stuff. You need 700,000 cp to finish the last part of the bored, crazy. Yeah Orphan fucked me up few times also. I was healing during his Darkside stage instead of attackin to stagger him then heal. Such a great game though, ending was ace. When Fang and Vanilled turned to crystal i was like " how the fuck can i continue on with the game now " lol

Im gonna google the big ass boss, i really wanted to fight him. If not, then what was the point of showing him 8O

Not since my last message. I have realised that you can't replay a certain part of orphans cradle which is rather annoying as one of the enemies there gave 32,000CP and was fairly easy to beat.

For the amount of Gil that you need to upgrade the weapons you don't really get a lot from anywhere do you. I am going to have to go CP and Gil farming but I think I am too early to go proper Gil farming as one of the better methods is the giant adamantoise things.

Yeah, just going through the missions at the moment. Really fucking annoying when the cieth stone and mission are miles apart and you end up getting 3/4 stars then have to go all the way back to redo it.

I have managed to do a couple of B level missions, but I tried one of the A ones and got raped.
