CS:GO map

Post by liquid »

Finally finished my "CS:GO" map.

The map has a custom loading screen and a custom radar, which means that you can actually see where you are on the map.

The only thing that needs to be done is adding place names to the mesh (used for chat commands), but I want to actually play the map first and see if everything works properly.

From the screenshot it reminds me of another map (maybe from a different game) but don't know what.

Great work though Liq.

Reminds me of a cross between cs_assault and the petrol station scene from Max Payne 3.
Good work Liq, might give me a reason to actually load CS:GO up again

Thanks all.

The map is basically the 2 houses and some ground surrounding the map. Both houses have a bomb site in it. The house on the left of the picture has a bomb site on the ground floor, the white house on the right on the first floor.

I can change this if it doesn't turn out the way I had in mind, that's whay I want to wait with the place names.

Just need to work out how long it takes both teams to get to the bomb sites from spawn.

Well the terrorists spawn in the backyard of the white house, so that is pretty close to the bomb site. Seems like the bots do not go straight to that bomb site (all the time)

Not sure if this will be an issue with this map. Don't really have another spot for a second bomb site, I can get rid of it at all, but that leaves the complete house pretty much useless.

If the bots aren't going to the same site all the time that's probably a good sign.

Dust2 works well in that one bomb site can be covered by CT almost immediately whereas the other site can be hit by T's within seconds of CTs getting there.

That is true.

I will play the map some more to see if the bots will pick both sites equally.

Any ideas for a nice name for the map?
