pc dies

Post by sparksy »

my pc keeps shutting off...... i mean no blue screen.... just off propa gangster style... then some times windows will do the disk check thing after.
i had got all the flush off the cpu now and dusted it out...defraged..sent loads of films over to external hd .... done registry fix thing. then come in tonight and it had obviously turned itself off. seems bad on css for it. could it be the cpu dying ???/ :?: :?: :?:

On rapidshare download a program called Everest Ultimate Edition. Use that to make sure all your temps are OK.

Could be loads of different things:

Hard drive
RAM
CPU
PSU

Get Everest and check your temps.

Then you need to download and run memtest+ to check your ram.

Well you can't have both.

Same with cars, you either get a shit reliable run about or you get a supercar and break down every 100 miles.
