temps
Re: temps
Graphics cards should be able to hit 100deg C without causing too much trouble, but your CPU is too high. You don't really want it going above 65 degC although they will still work over 70degC in some cases.
Re: temps
You aren't getting enough air in to the computer.
I take it you have defluffed it?
Is the PC in an enclosed space or is it in the open with plenty of space around it? Some of the desks which have a small slot with about an inch of width around the PC do not allow much air to flow and will increase your temperatures.
If it is in the open, run it with the side off and make sure all the fans are spinning properly.

New graphics card won't help. CPU gets too hot as well.sparksy wrote:cant im afraid... small hands...buzzz zap... "daddy.... baby kales hair is sticking up"... type situation.run it with the side off

There isn't enough airflow getting through.
I suggest making sure the kids are locked out the room and taking the side off, turn the computer on and make sure all the fans are working and blowing enough air. If they are load up a game and play for a while then check the temperatures. If they are OK, there is an airflow problem with your case.
Re: temps
no cant do that they would probably set fire to the stairs untill i came out...kids are locked out the room
but...
i just de fluffed it......... i can not belive how much fluff has build up in a month..... i think it may solve the prob.... took these while tomb raider was on again after 5-10 mins
nest is a desk fan and a hole in the side of the case to help with airflow.....

Re: temps
Tut tut tut someone not cleaning properly
What case do you have? You may be able to get a better fan to go in the front and even modify in a dust filter by stretching somes tights over the airholes to allow the air through but stop the dust, then you can just vacuum that.

Re: temps
yeah i wondered why there was so much dust then i figured it out with brad today. Instead of carpet in out hall and stairs and front room.... and instead of sanded down /varnished floorboards in the back ( were rig is) i lashed lamminate flooring all thru. Dust doesnt get caughtt on it and it basically wirls around until you hoover up. Then because of the gaps in the floorboard being covered there is no cool air comming up from under the house anymore.... back room is nice and warm now.... but dustyer ans less rig friendly.....some tights will go over the rig holes i think...good idea skell.

Re: temps
No point getting 4 280's let alone 1. Your CPU will bottleneck it.
