Most people have it in their sig. And mine says like 4.38. But then when i go into my default gateway thing and then put the ip into IE it tells me i have 5.6. So does that mean that that website is shit? lol.

Re: This speedtest.net thing
What exactly does it do? Might have to investigate my broadband in a before and after scenario cos we're on 2MB atm about to get a free 10MB upgrade. Should be interesting to see what kinda free "upgrade" we really get.

Basically its suppose to tell you the speed you internet download and upload is. But it tells me something different to what my router is telling me... And tbh i trust my router/ISP more than a random website.Revolver wrote:What exactly does it do? I'm back

Your router will give you the actual speed, whereas the speedtest will give you a better overview of what download speed you are likely to get from other sites as you won't always hit your max.
Rev, I assume you are with Virgin as they are upgrading all their 2MB customers?

Yes skel, everything we got is Virgin, we get a pretty good deal for V+ in living room and a normal box in my bedroom. Then landline, broadband and all the channels. Keeps it simple as well being with one supplier for everything.

I got phone and net. Went with Sky for TV. More expensive, but better selection.Revolver wrote:Yes skel, everything we got is Virgin, we get a pretty good deal for V+ in living room and a normal box in my bedroom.
