Or we could just lock the public server for a hour or so to play on there and you can still use your skins?

It would mean disabling zblock.

It would be a lot easier if you lot just renamed your cstrike folder temporarily.

Yep. So all you need to do is rename the cstrike folder to cstrike1 and CSS will create a new default folder called cstrike, then you can just rename that one to cstrike2 and the cstrike1 folder to cstrike and you have your skins back.
