MP3 player for in car

Post by Revolver »

I've got a lot of CD's now and since i changed my car i havnt even got a cd changer so swapping cd's is a pain in the ass. So i was thinking of getting an mp3 player or something with an itrip style thing, possible in future getting a head unit with an mp3/ipod dock. Anyone have any idea whats good to get? I know a lot of cars and head units now come with "ipod" docks but are they ipod specific or any mp3 player? and im gonna need at least 16GB memory for my music.

I forgot i have actually been using itunes for importing my cd's cos i think windows media player is a pain to get organised. So everything is already on itunes

My car says iPod connection, but it is really just an auxilary input which will take a 3.5mm to 3.5mm adapter from any mp3 player. My old car had a MP3 CD player which meant I had 10-15 albums on a CD at a time.

Really depends on what sort of connection you have. Newer cars have USB ports that you can just plug a USB flash drive in to and read all the data off it.

It might work, because my car has a Windows Blue&Me connection, but it also works with my iPod mini.
My iPhone doesn't connect though.

i think ill just get an mp3 or ipod and get a dock/holer with fm transmitter on it. seems the cheapest easiest solution. just means ill have to swap it out when the sat nav needs charging on longer journeys
