Depends how much you spend on it. I think Microsoft worked with Razer with the new Sidewinder.

It's £24 or something like that overall came upto £33 for express delivery,

Yeah i'm guessing you will need to buy 1 or 2 gaming mice a year?
or do you reckon 1 will do the job for a couple of years?

My G7 has latest around 3 years I think. Batteries last around 4 hours rather than the original 10 hours each now. The only place I was able to find new feet for the G7, they were around £35 imported from the US, just isn't worth it.
Still a good mouse. Have to get used to the Razer.

Ive got the old side winder, http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gamin ... px?pid=100 and it still works fine.
