Laptop Problem!

Post by joeb619 »

Right... I dont really know shit about computers and all that shit so like can you put stuff in dumb boy language for me.

Basically i go to connect to my router and it comes up 'please wait while windows connects to the BTHomeHub network. waiting for the network...' then nothing happens.... after a while it just disappears and im not connected to the internet... no error message or anything. Any ideas how to sort it out?

You're fucked then.

I don't know how you are connecting to the home hub. Have you got BT's shitty software doing the connection or Windows?

Yeah but as your laptop can connect another wireless connection, it will be the wireless settings for that connection on your laptop or something has happened to your BT Home Hub settings.

I think you are using BT's software as it says "Connecting to BT Home Hub.." etc. There should be a section with profiles of wireless connections. Remove your home one and set it up again.

Quite hard to diagnose and fix something over the net when I haven't seen your laptop before. Some screenshots would be good.
