No such this. Get the shittest, cheapest car you can get, a 1.0 or 1.1 would be best, make sure it isn't worth any more than £2,000 otherwise you will paying shit loads of money.

My first car was a 1.6 Astra Sport which cost me £700. My insurance for the first year was just over £3,000. Second year was £1,200 which wasn't too bad.

But definitely get a shit car to start off with.

You already know the answer

I got a 1997 954cc Citroen Ax when I was 20. Even that was £1k p/a 3rd party. I gave it to my cousin in April when i got my Audi and i cant remember if it was £1.2k or £1.4k p/a for him. Even at £1.2k its fucking ridiculous. I got a quote for a skyline GTR as well cos they're only like £3k for an old one. That quote was £27k p/a

I say have a sex change. Womens insurance is stupidly cheaper at first, I did a quote on my Citroen to see, exactly the same quote except i changed it to female instead of male it was £600. How can you justify £400 less for a worse driver?

The other thing is named drivers. The bird did a quote (she dont drive) for when shes 25 which is a years time. Did it on a 1.3 Ka. On her own it was about £550, then with her and another named driver (I think her mum) it was £400. When I did my first quote and put my mum on as a named driver it put it up £300. Go figure.

Unfortunately young lads just get spanked by pretty much every company no matter what car you have.

Once you are over 21 even if you have only just passed your test your premiums will go down.

Im 23 next week, just id a quote as if i got my 3rd year NCB and its the same price for third F&T party as fully comp. About £500. Thats on my Audi.

Dont it go down again at 25?

Depends who the insurer is. I'm paying £922 for the ST. Hopefully that will go down a fair bit once I get my 5th year NCB.

Don't crash?

I've managed to not 'twat' anyone else's car yet, so it can't be that difficult. I did reverse into a car park barrier though (the grey fencing type things) when i was reverse parking the the audi which made me jump. It's quite a size difference from Ax to A4

Only doing 1 mph or summit so no damage.

My new insurers were quite surprised that I had 4 years no claims at 21, he said most people have an accident in their first or second year.
