Xbox Live and GfWL

Post by Revolver »

If i have a gamertag and all that jazz for Games for Windows, will i still need to buy a 12 month subscription for xbox live or can you use the same login and stuff?

To be honest this whole thing has just pissed me off since i didnt even realise i could use my windows live messenger username to link it to my games for windows and xbox live. So now my gamertag is stuck on another email i dont actually want to use lol. Bloody joke it all is.

I think you can use the same account across both. The subscription fee is only for Gold subscribers which is when you get all the special extras through Live, multiplayer etc.

You could try contacting Microsoft and asking them to merge the accounts or move one of the accounts or whatever you want to do, they do tend to be quite good with customer service.

Same. Which transcoder are you using for your blu-ray rips? Or do you download the Blu-Ray WMV rip?

You have to get used to the controller, took me a while but after hours of GoW2 and Halo 3 it's embedded in, would prefer a mouse though.

I have a fallout 3 save at 50hours + on xbox. I bought it for PC cos thought id prefer a mouse but actually i prefer it on xbox. Dont know why it just feels better. Same as Halo 3, even though FPS are better on PC Halo doesnt feel right on anything but xbox. Although i only tried halo 1 on PC.

Analogue controllers and rumble packs do help in my opinion. Using sneak on fallout 3 PC is actually like using crouch in CS or something. Nice thing on xbox is you can move extremely slowly with the analogue stick so even with crap sneak skill you can help make up for it. Other things like the lockpicking mini game. Play that on xbox using 2 analogue sticks and its great. Then try it on PC with mouse/keyboard and it sucks.

There is just something nice about having the "in your hands" feel as well.

I just need a HD tele for xbox thats the problem :/

As for ripping films and playing through xbox. What the fuck :o

If you could give me a little lesson i wouldnt mind knowing about that cos if i get a HD tele sorted would be pretty nice not having to buy a blu ray

Worst thing about Xbox is the fucking prices. Just looked at Arkham Asylum.

PC - £24.99
360 - £39.99

its mad

Indeed. Not sure which platform to buy it on. Obviously a game better suited for the 360, but maybe not at that cost.
