Surely Return to Castle Wolfenstein would be the not new Wolfenstein and "Wolfenstein" is the brand new one due out soon(or now?)?

So Wolfenstein 3d was the original. The precursor to Doom and all things FPS. (With a "chain guns for arms Hitler").

Then i think there were expansion packs for this (not too sure). Edit: According to wiki Spear of Destiny is a prequel.

Then the WW2 FPS genre got kicked off again with the release of Medal of Honor (you played Jimmy someone edit: Lt. Jimmy Patterson) and MoH: Underground (you played some french resistance bird i think edit: Manon Batiste) on Playstation (which were both great to be fair)

Then when Medal of Honour: Allied Assault came out (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medal_of_H ... ed_Assault)
I believe it was released as Frontline on Ps2/Xbox. Maybe even gamecube?
Return to Castle Wolfenstein was released at a very similar time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Return_to_ ... olfenstein).

Checking wikipedia they were released at Dec 01/Jan 02 time.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein also spawned the "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory" mod that was then released as a retail game. Developers Splash Damage went on to make Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

Now there is a new Wolfenstein (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfenstei ... ideo_game)) which i didnt actually realise was out yet but it clearly is (http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/6068138 ... oduct.html) lol.


So basically i was confused because Sparksy said its not a new game, but to me, August is new and the "not new" would be RtCW
