Basically, i was trying to download a film 705mb last night, i got back from work today and it was still on 0.1%
Ive changed some preferences but i don't thats gunna be the cause of the shitty download speed..

anyone got any idea?

this is all actually astrix's problem it would just have been alot less confusing for me to say it was mine..

Most likely.

Look at the torrent from where you originally downloaded it and you should see a number next to seeds and leechers. If the number next to seeds is low you will generally get shit speeds.

if its a very new or popular film you will get lots of seeds... but torrents are crap if its something older.

as skell said.....rapidhsare for the win. i can download a film and have it unrared in about 20 mins...
torrents are also were they can do you for UPLOADING material that doesnt belong to you.... because you download bits and upload em AS WELL...rapidshare is direct links ...very fast..and cheap...the forum i use has just about everything... and you put a request in for something.. and they upload it for you
