L4D 2 Demo
Re: L4D 2 Demo
Great game, it is what the first one should of been. Only done the single player campaign so far, still need to try out all the multiplayer modes.
Re: L4D 2 Demo
Only has the standard multiplayer available so don't what the new modes will be like.

Re: L4D 2 Demo
I havn't even played the first one for more than 10 minutes. I got bored of the weapons. I had more fun playing Killing Floor in the first 10 minutes than I did L4D.
Obviously L4D is going to be a lot more polished game and there should be some amazing set pieces in this one, so maybe i' give it a whirl.
And maybe I will get the first one if they ever drop it from twenty seven fucking pounds. rip off bastards charging full price for a game that is about to become obsolete. At least sell it for a fiver with L4D2

Re: L4D 2 Demo
So far weapons wise I have seen:
Pistol (obviously)
Shotgun
MAC10 sort of gun
Hunting rifle
M4A1
AK47
L4D2 introduces melee weapons too which I have had the honour or using:
Guitar
Frying pan
Truncheon
Machete
The machete is great fun, slice and dice and your screen gets covered in blood, if you kill too many zombies it actually becomes hard to see. The other 3 were all identical in that it pushed back the zombie although a hit to the head killed them.
There is a mode called realism which is locked in the demo which sounds promising, I think the zombies are much harder to kill and when you take damage you take a lot of damage.
There are some new boss enemies, charger is like the tank, comes charging (hence the name) at you and if you are in his way he will grab you and smash you on the floor, but they are quite easy to take down.
Smokers and hunters are back. Smokers look a lot better now and more detailed.
There are new items. As well as the pipe bomb and molotov cocktails, there is also a tube of boomer vile which you can throw to get all the zombies in one place, much like the pipe bomb, but it doesn't explode. So if 2 people work together you can get all the zombies together then the other one can throw a molotov then you just mow down any survivors.
