I have nothing planned for tomorrow either so I can do an all nighter.
I have to be up at 9 tomorrow I am booked in for a massage at 10. I'm only going cos she's fit, £12 though. I want a blow for that.
If he does he can keep his "How good was that!" shit to himself. I get the feeling Skel and Blaze will be in a different Vent channeljoeb619 wrote:Guessing blaze wil join in after his gig

Re: Borderlands
Blaze won't be back in time. From the sounds of it there is no late train so I think he is going to be stuck in Sheffield till 5am.
We will keep the "that was awesome" to the forum post where you rudely farted.

Re: Borderlands
People have been having trouble connecting to each other which is either down to firewall or router configuration.
For router configuration you should be able to use this application: http://rapidshare.com/files/300436798/C ... F.zip.html
Tell it your router model, username and password then you can press the update applications button, select Borderlands and Gamespy and Gamespy Tunnel.
Then click Update router.
If it still doesn't work. Disable your firewall, or add Borderlands.exe to the exceptions list.

First of all, you need to set up your port forwarding as detailed here: http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com...ad.php?t=77897. Note that you do have to set up port forwarding to host a game. I've seen huge lists of numerous ports, but ultimately, only the 4 below are actually needed.
Basically, you have to enable port forwarding on the following ports:
7777 (TCP/UDP)
28900 (TCP)
27900 (UDP)
28910 (TCP)
Forget all those other ports that are listed through out the threads. They are not the problem. The problem seems to be the initial authentication with Gamespy and the way in which you host a a game. You still should test your ports to make sure they are open by going here: http://portforward.com/ .. The Utorrent port test did not work for me, but the app from portforward.com worked perfectly and was accurate.
OK, HERE IS THE FIX that worked for me and others!!! In fact, I think there are two ways to do this and make it work...
Method One:
1) You have to FIRST go Online and host a Public Game. If you host a private game from the onset, it won't work.
2) Once you host a public game, you can exit out of that game and host a private one and people will be able to connect. I tried multiple times and it worked perfectly as long as I hosted a public game first. Note that you don't have to start the game, just host it from the lobby, invite a friend, then leave and host a private game.
Method Two:
1) You can also host a private game from the single player game by pressing "O" (default) and inviting friends from there
You may have to go to a public lobby first using method two, however I think hosting from the single player works without having to go to the lobby. The big issue is that if you go straight to hosting a Private Game, it won't work. You have to first go in to the public lobby or you can try single player and invite from there. It seems that you don't authenticate with Gamespy, or that it tries to use additional ports if you try to host a Private Game without first using one of the other methods.
I posted this in the Port Forwarding thread mentioned at the top of my post, but I figured a new thread stating the fix would help a lot of people, as that thread has gotten very large and my initial findings are somewhat buried. Also note that it works fine with Windows Firewall enabled as well, as long as you create an exception for Borderlands.exe. Hopefully this will help some people. Good luck.
