Borderlands
Re: Borderlands
Spray paint the rest of his car red, then while he is sorting it out, sneak in to the house and take it.

Demon,
Here's the big bird, taken down with my trusty revolver all by myself
Link if it is too big for your screen: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/3746/bigbirdo.jpg
Parked my car next to it so you get an idea of the size.

Incase Gamespy goes down again, possibly look in to this: http://www.gameranger.com/download/
Re: Borderlands
Got a 419 damage sniper rifle last night. Accuracy is 98.6.
Only problem it is level 31...but I am 29 so I will be able to use it soon
And on the GameRanger thing, see this post on the Steam forums
Looks like GameRanger doesn't have a problem with port forwarding.
Also, back up your .sav file in your Documents/My Games/Borderlands/SaveData every now and then.
You can lose items randomally, happens occasionally when playing multiplayer. Which is why I lost my shield and grenade mod. Some people have lost loads of weapons as well as skills.

Re: Borderlands
Supposingly. It is an alternative to GameSpy and disables GameSpy from within Borderlands if it is open so you can fall back from one to the other if either service is down.
On the Steam forums there is actually a Valve employee/forum moderator (not sure what their level was, but they are staff on the forum) thanking the creator for it as even he couldn't get the multiplayer working for Borderlands. I think a lot of others are moving over to GameRanger which is causing the number of joinable games in Borderlands to a minimum.
Hopefully at some point we can do a proper 4 player co-op and get a challenge going.
I saw on the forums that people took 20 minutes to take down Skagzilla. It literlly took me 15 seconds. That was 10 rounds from my revolver with a reload in the middle. But supposingly co-op makes them a lot harder.

Re: Borderlands
Even i took about 3 minutes and my character is shit compared to yours... I think its better coop cause it does make it pretty harder. Only problem is that we arent all the same level so you are forever behind. Thats why i said before we should have a character solely for multiplayer, like when all 4 of us play. But weve all got a bit too far to start that now.skeletor wrote:I saw on the forums that people took 20 minutes to take down Skagzilla. It literlly took me 15 seconds. Re: Borderlands
I would but I just like my revolver too much
I think if we all aim to get to playthrough 2 and stop whether we do it in multiplayer or not, then in playthrough 2 we can all start with our characters at the same level which appears to be around level 32, so I guess I am fairly close to completing playthrough 1.
I level up quite slowly now, especially in co-op. I get 0xp from skags and only get 5-10xp from the Badass skags.
I don't think that the difference in levels are too bad, if you want to make it a challenge, you should all join one of my games as the enemy will be stronger than you are used to then will get a lot harder in co-op. They don't provide much of a challenge, although some things like the huge psycho with the axe will take a good 8-10 rounds to take down as well as the bruisers.
Supposingly there is some DLC coming before Christmas which unlocks a new island with lots of new missions.

Re: Borderlands
Aim to start playthrough two together. I know for sure I will want to try a new class as well after my first playthrough.
As for DLC, I think its fair to say we can expect to see new level caps, talents, zones and classes for this game. It seems to have caught on well.
One thing that puzzles me though is where your character is saved? Because from what I can see there is nothing "server side". So surely Skel you could send me a copy of your character and nothing would stop me loading it up?
