Radio 1 reckoned RAM was still ahead after inclduing yesterdays CD sales. If thats the case, most people downloading would have already done so and CD sales are usually a constant (just when people can get to shop) except for Saturday/Sunday. I reckon RAM is gonna lead until weekend then CD sales will probably go upskeletor wrote:Apparently RAM has around 253,000, X-Factor has 217,000.
I think that is online only though and X-Factor CD went out in shops yesterday so it will likely win.

Because the song is under 40p on amazon i'm hearing rumours that it won't count for the charts?
I hope this is just a fucking rumour
EDIT: Found out amazon are still paying 40p For the song and selling it for 29p
so letting their losses go !!!!!

So you could say Amazon are supporting the anti-x factor campaign? I'm sure their marketing guru's would say they are giving towards charity considering the amount of donation going about from the salesBlacKBlazE wrote: EDIT: Found out amazon are still paying 40p For the song and selling it for 29p

I dont get all that, so what will ppl gain when RATM get the number one?
am not against them and not in favour of xfactor, i just see this pointless tbh (specially as I know half of you fucking watched the Xfactor anyway)
EDIT: ohh and you know you all are giving money to the shittiest label ever which is SONY?

It's a bit of fun and a bit of a "fuck you" to X-Factor getting #1 every Christmas, not because they are talented, but because they have a huge amount of money behind them.
If RATM win, people will laugh, if they don't, people will just say "meh". Although I am sure Simon Cowell will drop in a remark or two.

I watched it this year for the first time. It's well put together, better than anything else on TV really (Sat night) and was actually enjoyable (i dont care, i enjoyed watching it, get over it).Wannabe Killer™ wrote:EDIT: ohh and you know you all are giving money to the shittiest label ever which is SONY?
The problem i have is the way the record comes out the day after the final on the crest of a wave and too many brain washed dumb ass kids or stupid old granny's say "ooh isn't he lovely" and buy the fucking song. Manufactured bands/groups/artists are one thing but this show takes it one step further.
Plus Olly should have won but Simon Cowell manipulates the show so it's usually who he wants to win that does so anyway. People think they vote for who's best but really they end up voting for who Simon wants to look best (by the final 3 anyway) and who he thinks will make the most money. Hence the shitty Disney song for the ready made introduction to America.

Don't know if they are accurate or not:
RAGE: 306,115 sold
X-FACTOR 297,192 sold
Sir Paul McCartney is backing RATM

Re: Stop X-Factor getting to #1 in the charts
I like the whole thing, I don't like how people are trying to turn it into UK v USA by banging on about them being from LA and shit like that. The fact they are giving to UK charity should shut them moaners up straight away.
UK charity > Cowell's pockets.
Hopefully we can do this every year, lets start planning ahead, what can be number 1 next year?
Oh yeah, the other point i wanted to make was about the fact is always some crappy ballad (as pointed out before) that hits number 1. Thats my Goal, Moment Like This, The Climb. It's all ballad shit to get the grannies and teenage girls to buy it. None of them release songs anything like that when they re-emerge a year later.
Leona Lewis, fair play to her she's gonna be around a long time i think. But she doesn't release the shit they make her sing on X-Factor. Anyway im blabbing, the point im trying to make is, if they earn themselves a career then fair enough, i'll even admit to liking some of her tracks. But the "spoon fed" ballads just piss you off!
