Talk about films etc. 1 film per thread. Lets keep it tidy.

Doom would be fine but it's a fucking pain to set up mouse support, I was actually playing it recently on Steam lol. Even the first quake is a bitch to set up mouse support on, it's always probs with the vertical axis. The id pack is immense, all the doom and quake action you could hope for.

Never played any FF, it just doesn't appeal much.

Doom shouldn't be played with mouse. It was a keyboard game originally and should be played that way too.

It came with mouse support originally too. Circle strafing with a keyboard is cack, play doom/quake properly with a mouse keyboard and its mint.

Did it? I only ever played with the keyboard. I could pretty much play the whole of the first episode with my eyes closed.

Just looked it up, it didn't work with a mouse in DOS unless you loaded a mouse driver.... So no, originally I didn't play with a keyboard either  I do actually remember it being a pain trying to shotgun a grunt above you because unless you had it bang on the same x axis you just kept shooting in front of you. Or sometimes you'd be shooting at something in front of you and as your turn bullets/plasma/rockets would ping off up the screen at something stood on a ledge.

edit: Or maybe that was quake... Although that definately had mouse support.

Yeah ledges were a problem unless you were more or less perfectly in line in which case it would shoot up rather than in to a wall. It was especially annoying when it was an imp walking on a ledge because if you fired a rocket on target the imp would have moved and you end up wasting 4-5 rockets.

Saw avatar last night... Was pretty good. Quite an obvious story line though, could easily have told everything that happened.

Finally saw it, didn't think much to it. It was a "seen one, seen them all" movie. Even the much hyped 3d'ness wasnt as great as i thougt either. And let's face it, without the 3d it would have been just another film...
Like Joe said, too predictable, also far to drawn out to the point of boredom on more than one occasion. Clearly all the reviews at the time were riding on the hype and giving it good scores regardless.
