WoW Cataclysm

Post by METRIC »

You see the new features in this one Rev, seems cool. Though i will never play the game again :(

* Level cap raised to 85, up from the previous level cap of 80 in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.
* The zones introduced in the original World of Warcraft, the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, are being given aesthetic changes, total revamps and new towns, as well as new high and low level quests, and will be redesigned to support player controlled flying mounts; before this, these areas were not designed for flying.[4]
* Eight new dungeons and five new raids will be added with more to be released with later patches.
* Old dungeons, such as The Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep, will be revamped into level 85 dungeons with normal and heroic difficulties.
* New Battlegrounds and a new World-PvP zone, similar to Wintergrasp, Tol Barad.
* Archaeology, a new secondary skill.
* Rated Battleground systems allowing arena-level rewards from battleground groups.
* Max-level non-experience based progression through the 'Paths of the Titans'.
* Guild 'leveling' and achievement systems.
* Newly accessible areas such as Mount Hyjal, Uldum, the Sunken City of Vash'jir, and the Twilight Highlands.

Why will you never play it again?
There is a lot to do with this expansion if you ask me. A lot of players want the "vanilla wow" style back. Nothing has the same charm or wow factor anymore (no pun intended). It’s just a grind rather than a game.
You forgot to mention all the new race/class combo's, the two new races or the "Titan" talents or whatever they are called. The whole expansion is either gonna make wow cool again, or it is going to send it down the pan. New race/class combo's are.

Human – Hunter
Nelf - Mage
Dwarf – Mage, Shaman
Gnome - Priest
Orc - Mage
Troll - Druid
Tauren – Priest, Paladin
Blood Elf - Warrior
Worgen (alliance) – Death Knight, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior
Goblin (horde) – Death Knight, Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior.

Unfortunately WoW is shit compared to what it was. I am hoping The Old Republic will be the new game to play as such. But, to be honest, if I get a rig set up I am looking forward to playing some SP games, I’ve only spent 30mins on Bioshock so far and loved it. Gonna save it though for when I can run it prettier and smoother.

Wont be playin it again cause of the amount of time i spent on it, Metric was in the top 100 on Shadowsong, you can imagine how long it took me to get all that gear. Now cause of how long its been since i played ( Metric is not even in the armoury anymore ) he is SHIZZLE compared to other tanks out there, and the other half will divorce me if i spent 70% of my life on a game again ( done it for a year already :S ) besides blizzard deleted my account, WANKERS. They said the only way to get it back is to call them, you should see the other option lol, il post it here another time.

Alas i will await the release of Final Fantasy 14, that will be my new online game

P.S Ever since my guild disbanded it hasnt been the same for me, loved raiding Naxx every week and clearing it in just over 2hours, guild was ranked 4th on Shadowsong and we JUST completed Sartharion 3D!!!! the day before it fell apart. Other players went to highend raiding guilds that seem to live eat and shit the game, i was goin to OZ so i raided casually with AR for a while, only raided Ulduar 25man a few times, thats when Metric dropped outta the top 100, start playin with my warior then, got him up to Naxx25 gear lvl and stopeed playin.

I would just like to point out that is becuase of YOU and SHANE that i played that game and got addicted in the first place. My new home will be FF14, you can come and join me and SKEL there ;)

I don't need any new addictions...addictions cost money.

I still to this day have never ever raided. I tried t do Zul'Gub when I hit 60 on my dwarf paladin (Stalwart, changed his name to Boldir when i transferred the dwarf to Shadowsong server) but it was a nightmare. I'd love to do raids and that but its too elitist for me now. It's all about Gearscore which is a load of bollocks. You get DPS running around in Tank gear because its higher item level and gives better gear score. But thats another story.

I'll keep playing for now, but we'll see what the ol future holds lol.

if i can get my account back i might play it casually again, but for me all the fun was in the raiding, waste of time doin anything else imo. I just had to have the best gear, all i cared about. Started off as fun but i got to hardcore and it started to take over my life :?

13 seems a lot more futuristic than 14, 14 seems to look more like 9-10 as in big green fields and the like, no big as futuristc cities..... so far

Holy SHIT!!!

Taiwanese gamer, Little Gray, has been named the first person ever to "beat World Of WarCraft".

To earn his title, Little Gray killed 390,895 creatures, administered 7,255,538,878 points of damage, completed 5,906 quests (averaging 14 quests a day), raided 405 dungeons and hugged 11 players.

The most important feat accomplished by Little Gray, however, is completing the game's 986 achievements. (Feats of strength achievements are excluded because they are impossible to get together). Another note is that Little Gray still has the BB King achievement unfinished, but a bug in another quest gave him an extra achievement point and balanced it off.
