ATi stuff is as good as the Nvidia stuff. For the same performance they normally work out slightly cheaper which is nice.

arived today.. got the quad core 6mb cache intel jobby... and a radion 1gb hd 5770 i think it is...
now then brad says if i just wack my HD into the new tower with xp and all my files on.... it wont work as its a different chip set.. so i may as well get windows 7 if im gonna have to do a re-install... question is.. or questions is ...
shall i get the 64 bit windows 7 ???
if i get a new HD bang that in.. put windows 7 on it....could i put the old HD in and use all the files on it ????

64-bit.
Only put a new drive in, install 7 on it with the instructions on rapid.org then once Windows is all set up and configured. Turn it off and put in your old hard drive then you will have all your files. If you have 2 hard drives, one of which with Windows on when installing 7 it can cause problems due to activation.
But there shouldn't be a problem reading the data once 7 is installed.

ive bought it now... and a new hd...
next question is.... i need the i/o plate for the asus striker 11 formula motherboard... the pressed metal plate that coveres the ports..
were can i get one.. any ideas....?

You don't actually need one. It is best to have it, but not a major problem if you haven't. Brad should have it.

So i returned my other card no problem got a refund so going to order my new card what you think of that one. I know my budget now 100 euro to 130 euro.
