It had the potential to be a really good film
but for a horror film there wasn't enough killing and really
it ended up making me laugh more than shit my pants
watch it if you want to see the same old shit with special effects

Same with all the Friday the 13th series. More of a comedy than a horror.

I hate scary films. Lol. Such a wimp. BUT, I havent been scared by a film in ages because they are, as you say, nearly always the same shit and end up being a comedy of errors.
I did turn off the Haunting in Connecticut though the other week lol. That was freaking me out and I was on my own

Exorcist is a good example. Supposed to be scary. I watched it by myself when I was 13/14. I couldn't stop laughing at some parts, other parts I was nearly falling asleep.
Poltergeist was a lot scarier, but don't really remember much of that.

Re: A nightmare on elm street 2010
To be honest, the films are never scary, i just over think things and scare the shit out of myself lol. I always do it.
Like if I've been watching a typical stalker/murderer film I convince myself if i open the curtains there will be someone outside my window I am officially a complete wimp with films like that.
Worst for me though is the paranormal/ghost/possessed type of shit. Just can't stand it
