Palace V Leicester

Post by Revolver »

Opening game of the season eh. What a scorcher. I hope you've sold all your good players without buying any new ones at that point :P

August 7th, im at Ascot that day...

Ascot....snob.

Haven't seen the fixtures yet, and I haven't read up on any news about Palace, whole squad has probably gone by now.

It's hardly snobbish, its not the Royal is it lol.
I think AMbrose was gonna go to QPR (following Warnock i guess), other than that I dont really know. I usually check this, then you dont actually have to read anything, and sky are usually pretty accurate

The new owners stopped Ambrose from going, it is still up in the air if he is going to leave or not.

Clyne is apparently on his way to the Brum.
Ertl has gone to Sheff Utd.
Derry is apparently off to QPR as is Clint Hill.
Speroni is wanted by a few clubs but he fucked off to Argentina for 6 weeks so no one could contact him.

I heard Celtic might fancy Speroni?
Just noticed, I think Burnley away is 3rd game of the season. Get you and Blaze out the way then eh...

I'm prepared for a mediocre season this time around after how well we did last season.

I don't care what we do. I'll even take relegation (as long as Brighton and Charlton don't go up), at least the club still exists.

EAGLES!!! Ave it!!

Really thought we were going to throw it away. We were excellent in the first half, didn't turn up for the second half though.

Did you go skel? Heard was a cracking game. We hit the woodwork 3 times and fryatt missed from 4 yards at 2-0. Shame to have an opening day defeat but heard we played ok.... Eventually. We have a crap record down at yours and N even worse one against any team George Burley manages but shame we couldn't snatch a point. I hope burley keeps it up for you and hope city stay positive and dot get downbeat about 1 game. If things carry on like this it should be an interesting season!

If you play like you did in the second half for the rest of the season you will be in the playoffs easily, probably pushing for automatic promotion based on the football last year.

That said the miss from 4 yards also an open goal was hilarious, excellent defenders clearance.

And of course I went, I have a season ticket. I endure myself to suffering every Saturday.

Ah right didnt realise you were a season ticket boy. I cant afford one at City, and I dont like to commit every week really. Might go down this Saturday since its first home game and lets face it, wouldnt it be nice to see the "favourites beause we spent a lot of money on a scotland squad" Middlesborough lose their opening 2 games :D
