Final Fantasy 6

Post by skeletor »

Got Final Fantasy 6 running on my phone and battery usage is minimal

If you have an Android phone (probably an alternative for iPhone), download and buy GameBoid which is $3.99. Then you will need a bios for it, which I can email, download the rom from somewhere like http://www.freeroms.com/ and play to your hearts consent. Plays all GBA, GB and GB Colour games. Not very good for games like Sonic etc that require quick movements, but turn based games like FF are great.

You can also turn on fast forward which speeds up the game by 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 5x or 8x, so what would usually take 4 minutes to walk across the map (with no encounters) now takes around 30 seconds  Really quick to level up.

Hey, I can play Gameboy games on my phone, I'm happy. I'm going to look in to getting a SNES emulator too.
