rig going mental..

Post by sparksy »

heres a weird thing... oldest devil spawn turned on rig yesterday morning ...and all the windows and taskbar ect is in the old grey basic look of windows.

so being the smart arse i am .. i went in personalise thru control panel.. and told it to do win 7 look... but it wont :(

i also went into performance and told windows to choose "best apearance" no performance or do what it wants... still no good :(

i did recently re-install it keeping all my folders ect... due to crashing ect.... but the proccessor was getting to hot... i re-applied some paste to it and the inside of the g-card..and both have been ok since.... but now this ffs...

any ideas :?: :?: :?:

Are your temps actually OK?

Have you had any random restarts?

id done a restore to the day before...but still windows basic horrific look.

g card played css last night ok for 10 mins,,, without anything happening.. and its the latest driver it reckons.

If you are still getting crashes, something may have got corrupt or drivers aren't installed properly (but you would know when you played CSS if they weren't).

nah .. apart from downloading two games which i couldnt get to work anyway... and unistalled em..i havent changed anything.

BUT.. there is a new driver for the radion HD 5*** series card ... so i unistalled the other one...and done that.. STILL NO COCK ENDING GOOD GRRRRRR

just done the stress test on css.. im getting 225 fps... which seems normal..and my screen ress is set at normal as well..

so why no aero...could it be windows failing again it ...

I would say a reinstall is needed, a proper one after formatting.
