Re: Danns to Leicester
I was just going to come and post about this. I dno't know who is more annoyed, your lot or the Rangers fans
Quite happy about this, bit of a rough n ready player who don't mind a good scrap. Something we've been missing it has to be said. Still have Mackail-Smith lined up and who knows what will happen regarding Nugent, Derbyshire and Maynard.
Might help if Sven signs some defenders though
Unfortunately a lot of the bookies have us up there with West Ham as favourites for promotion. I hope we have players that thrive on the expectation. No Leicester team since Martin O'Neills side has really done anything other than buckle under pressure

Re: Danns to Leicester
Well you are making the right signings and should be a contender for automatic promotion.
Danns is a bit hit and miss when he isn't at his best he seems to be completely lost for much of the game and has got a fair few reckless red cards. Oh and his "music" is awful.
In a way it's good that he is gone as him and Ambrose in midfield together didn't really work but they were both good enough to be in the first 11. Now all we need is to have Ambrose leave and we are fucked.

Re: Danns to Leicester
I have heard rumours that QPR are swooping around for Ambrose. Warnock likes signing his "favourites" thats for sure. And your club has come out and said they won't stand in the way if a Prem club comes in for him. That sounds like advertising to me!

The new owners aren't stupid, if the right offer comes in players will leave. I'm surprised more haven't gone especially the youngsters.Revolver wrote:I have heard rumours that QPR are swooping around for Ambrose. Warnock likes signing his "favourites" thats for sure. Kasper Schmeichel, Lee Peltier and Neil Danns sofar.BlacKBlazE wrote:Haven't you signed kasper schmeichel too?
Current likely signings are
Masilela - awaiting work permit more than a rumour
Craig Mackail-Smith - £3m offer apparently accepted and he has apparently completed a medical
Sean St.Ledger - £1.2m offer apparently accepted
Current hopeful signings
David Nugent - on holiday or something but every morning there are reports it's "gonna happen" then by afternoon it's a "not today"
Matt Mills - Apparently we've matched Readings valuation, supposedly £4m! but Wolves also chasing him
Ben Mee - possibly another season loan but lots of speculation we've put in around £2m for him thats been accepted
Miguel Vitor - again, possibly another season but would like to see a permanent move. His buyout clause is £8m though so we have to hope Benfica are willing to let go
Lots of other linked & rumoured
Peter Whittingham
Nicky Maynard - we did make an offer that was rejected, but nobody really knows where this is as he has been on holiday or something, a lot depends if he signs a new contract or not
Ched Evans - hope not
Billy Sharpe
Matt Derbyshire
Dennis Rommedahl - no idea where this idea came from, and he's 32 now!
Wayne Routledge - see him going Brum or West Ham but who knows, QPR move apparently fell through
Andy Johnson - Another past it I would have thought
We seem to be getting linked to every striker in the league at the moment thats for sure. Most interesting thing for me is that Mackail-Smith supposedly turned down Norwich (although they said they didnt make an offer) and he turned down QPR. Reason for QPR was that he wasn't given assurances Warnock would still be manager at the start of the season. Much the same thing has happened with Routledge. So happy that LCFC didn't get those muppets in that bought QPR! There season tickets went up 40% as well. Apparently they want to make it a "boutique" club. Muppets.

Craig Mackail-Smith has chosen Br*ghton over Leicester... must be down to being guarenteed a first team place/wages.
Nugent would be a better signing anyway. Craig Mackail-Smith is overrated.

Re: Danns to Leicester
I'm sort of glad about this. £3m was a shit laod of money for him. Turned down QPR, Leicester, Norwich and West Ham for Brighton?
Strange, but oh well.
