You can change the Boot option using Msconfig so that it will boot into windows without you having to select an operating system. On the 70GB missing, it sucks i know. I have 69GB missing on my 1TB.

Missing hard drive space is normal, due to space allocation blah blah blah.

As for the boot up Windows 7 uses a different boot system than all the other versions of Windows. Have a look at this for removing one of them.

yeah the 1TB HD had windows 7 on it..even though i formated it :?: so i stoped that.. used msconfig , the command prompt couldnt find the floder...

seems like ive got space missing on my 500gb HDas well... ive only got...

bfbc2
avg
mozilla
chrome


and even after shifting files to the 1tb (only a few on it anyway) ive only got 99gb free out of 500gb

i got rid of the silly partition it made....

UPDATE: clever windows 7 had kept a load of stuff in a folder called windows old.... it was about 300gb in size... which is why my HD was looking full.. turns out i havent lost a load of stuff i thought i had :D

That's not specific your rig. Mine does that too sometimes. It's says: "hl2.exe has stopped working"

Funny ive been having the same problem but my problem was dust and over heating from the dust and the case to lasy to clean every little bit of it but wil some day!

yeah it normall does that when mine gets hot... but this is clean as a wistle.... i think i will get one of those liquid coolers for the cpu though.
