Qualiy film.
Very stylish movie that is simple but gripping. the 1hr40 mins run time absolutely flew by. The tension in the opening scene is quality.
Have to say that it smacked me round the face with a big wet fish called "Vice City" for an awful lot of this film. But that is probably because I haven't seen a lot of the older films that Drive actually references so I link it to Vice City which as I'm sure you all remember, did a lot of film referencing! Stuntman/Getaway driver based in LA, heists, car chases, murder. Says it all really. Good acting, good story. Well I say good story, its a simple story, but we like simple don't we?
It's such a different film that you can't really compare it to anything else. Taking a quick look at wikipedia (extenseive research I know) it has apparently been described as a "tough, hard-edged neo-noir art house feature". Whatever the fuck that is!
I should proably add that it has a cool soundtrack too, something which seems to go missing in films now.
5 stars for me and I will be buying it on DVD.

Re: Drive
Haven't seen it but was just looking at the soundtrack and saw that it stars Christina Hendricks, she has some nice "air bags".
I don't go to the cinema so will have to wait until a good copy comes online and possibly buy blu-ray if it satisfies.
