The Big Match Burnley v LCFC

Post by Revolver »

So here it is, the big one.

I have zero confidence in the not so mighty Leicester City at the moment and am not particularly looking forward to the Blazemeister coming on here and shouting all sorts of abuse at me.

But fuck it, lets start the banter.

Tonights score will be

Burnley 1 - 3 Leicester.

Honest

I'm going to go for a Leicester win too after I read nice comments on their forum about Palace.

Probably end up being a draw.

I mean even Palace beat Burnley and we're supposed to be fighting against relegation. Leicester are supposed to be pushing for automatic promotion.

Enjoying it while I can.

Well unfortunately Sven's "good" management of buying a load of "good" players and shoving them in a random formation only works when they decide to play well. As soon as anything goes wrong he unfortunately has no clue, just like with England.

You should get Allardyce in. Have great players in your squad you can play great football then play the long ball and bully results out of your opponents then whenever anyone questions your style of play, tell them that you play brilliant free flowing passing football and that he should be managing England.

Thought Sven was a bit of a weird appointment to start off with, I think it was more due to the big name than his footballing style. You should be top 6 even at this early stage, the team should have gelled (sp?) together by now.

I think Burnley are roughly where they should be, maybe a few places higher. We are about 20 places above where I was expecting us and quite a few more rounds further in the cup than I was expecting.

I'm not suprised by the result even though i predicted the same score but the other way round, to lose at home against a managerless team
is pretty bad but with the team we've got we are going no where fast. If i'm being honest i see both palace and leicester finishing above us this year unless mr kilby gives eddie some money to spend in january... which is very unfuckinglikely.

We've spent pretty much nothing. I think we paid 150k for Parr. Everyone else was free.

Money doesn't work in this league if you ask me. Our best signings have been Schmeichel (£1m), Nugent (free) & Peltier (not sure but less than £1m I think).

The big signings like Mills and Beckford haven't really paid off. Mills i think let his price tag grt the better of him but has been much improving (till his sendin off) but Beckford appears ton be a wanker and compete waste of money. Oh well, it's not my cash.
