Anyone else been playing it?
Got it on Thursday for the 360 and have done about 20 hours since then.

Re: Skyrim
No but my steam friends list is rammed full of "In game: Elder Scrolls v: Skyrim".
I imagine Metric is currently between two lands. The land of work and the land of skyrim.
I finished Arkham City the other night, got Halo Reach for £11 next up. Skyrim is saved for the day i actually get a new rig.

Re: Skyrim
I wouldn't want to spend that long over a few days by my desk, had to spend a little extra and get it for the Xbox although it would be nice to use a mouse for some things, still struggle with the gamepad.
Can't even remember if I have Halo Reach, I know I have 3 and ODST, but have never completed either of them, get bored too easily.
A couple of months ago I was bored so decided to complete GOW2, put the disc and loaded up my save only to see the ending scene and credits. I had completed it and forgotten.
I haven't completed Arkham Asylum either, bought it for £6 or so off Steam a while ago.

Re: Skyrim
To be honest mate the batman games are awesome. But I played then on 360. You don't really need a mouse for them, the gameplay suits a pad down to the ground.
I would feel like I was missing out by playing Skyrim on 360. Surely the graphics are miles apart between console/PC?

Re: Skyrim
Graphics are pretty good on the 360 and I read that Bethesda managed to do a good job with the textures on the console but the PC is obviously going to outperform the consoles and the stream of mods that it will get will likely make the PC the better purchase, but looking back at the amount of hours I spent playing Final Fantasy, I wouldn't of wanted to do that on my PC, too uncomfortable.
I did like the Batman game and it plays OK on mouse and keyboard, even on PC you can tell it was ported over, just hard to get in to new games on the PC now. Dead Island wasn't really fun until I installed a couple of third party mods which have made the game much better although now my character is overpowered but still has shit yourself moments. And the fact that it was £6 impulse buy on the PC or £40 for 360 unless you have someone at your work with a desk full of them.

Re: Skyrim
Spent my whole lunch time looking for new places to visit. I have been using pretty much the same weapon from level 6 or so and am now level 25 and I see online people with much more powerful daggers than my greatsword.
Final Fantasy is much easier, although not as fulfilling.

Re: Skyrim
I've had the same problem in the past with oblivion. I spent a few hours on it just a few weeks ago but you spend so log with the same equipment and same Mage spells when I looked at what I could have had its a bit disheartening lol. Also, I could never remember where I left my horse so I'd always lose them. Meaning being skint buying one or being naighty and nicking one!skeletor wrote:Spent my whole lunch time looking for new places to visit. I might actually give it another blast tonight. May as well, I've only had it for around 3 years!

Re: Skyrim
I haven't bothered buying a horse. I fast travel most places and walk the short distances and end up finding new caves.

Re: Skyrim
Yeah I think horses are for extreme gamers lol. I was reading a letter about Fallout 3 once and there was a chap on there that was explaining how he decided from the outset that he would not fast travel anywhere. I mean seriously it must have taken fucking ages to do anything. Especially when you're in DC because you have to take the subway to get through to a lot of places.skeletor wrote:I haven't bothered buying a horse. Re: Skyrim
I read some people are playing this without fast travel, only buying leather armour, not doing any missions from anyone but their own race and no magic.
Crazy.
