Skyrim 2.0
Re: Skyrim 2.0
Room is dark as is so no light glare, I just prefer a darker screen, especially when browsing the web, white hurts my eyes after a while even with Fluxrunning (great app by the way, especially if you use computer well in to the night, changes the tone and brightness of your screen depending on the time of day so that it is easier to look at when using a flourescent light bulb as opposed to natural light.)

Re: Skyrim 2.0
This game is getting better and better. So many quests though now that I tend to just stick a few on at once and see what I am close to! Doing the Winterhold College quest currently, I like it. Also started the first of the companion (I think thats what they're called, sounds weird now) quests and just need to hand it in. I'm looking forward to the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild if and when I can find them.
Character is level 28 or 29. Around level 60 in archery and 50-odd in conjuration so been running around with a Bound Bow filling up Soul Gems. It makes levelling Enchanting and Blacksmithing very easy. You gotta love those iron daggers. 1 iron ingot, 1 leather strap and a petty soul gem is about 250ish gold and easy blacksmith and enchant levelling.
Worst thing about archery though is it makes armour levelling bloody hard. And using one hand and light armour to try and level isn't the wisest of things to do now I have put the difficulty up a bit. And it feels like cheating to drop the difficulty to level a skill.

Dagger in one hand, healing magic in the other. Find some wolves and you should be able to level your light/heavy armour reasonably well.

It's just so very boring. And feels weird that you have to get his wearing armour to become skilled in it. Surely moving about in light armour or fighting in it at all would make you more "skillful". Especially given half the light armour perks involve improved stamina and movement.skeletor wrote:Dagger in one hand, healing magic in the other. I haven't played for ages. I doubt the Markarth bug has been fixed so I still won't be able to do lots of the quests.
From memory though my heavy armour is fairly high, my dodge however is poor. I just go all in with my greatsword, if I am desperate I use fire breath.

I havent played it in bout 3 weeks. The Theives Guild quests are without a doubt the best Rev, especially in terms of story - its like a little game in itself. he Dark Brotherhood ones are good also, thats the first i done as i loved them in the last Elder Scrolls. Not as good in this one though ( and a CUNT to join ). Armour lvling can be a bitch. I have all dragon armour now but its still in the 60s. My archery is in the 90s, my sneak is 100, as is my block. I cheated on the block though - was in a dwarven mine and was been attacked by spiders. Noticed they wherent doin any damage so i tied a cable around the block button on the xbox controller, went to the pub, and when i came back i was 100 on block and went up 3 lvls
Good to see your enjoyin it

I cheated on sneak, in Riverrun I put some string around the controller but the Xbox kept going in to pause every 10 minutes or so.
Dark Brotherhood I joined by accident (I assume helping that boy is the only way to get in?) but can't do the first mission as it is in Markarth.

Yeah that kid starts it all. Unless you stumble across him it can he a cunt to find. in sayin that i went looking for it the second i loaded up the game. Wouldnt be as hard to trigger the side mission now.

Re: Skyrim 2.0
I haven't gona looking for anything specifically. Actually that's a lie, I had to google where to find the horse & cart to winter hold. I suppose the "horse" part would make most people look at the stables but considering I didn't even know there was a cart at all until I read a forum where someone mentioned it how would I know?! I just wanted to have the magic trainers available and get the bound bow.
Other than that everything has been go with the flow. I deliberately tried to
Not look into items and gear else it can just become a loot hunt instead of enjoying the game. I was particularly chuffed about finding the Krosis mask (suits my character perfectly) just by playing the game and not ecause I'd read about it somewhere!
I'm currently doing college of winter hold and the companion quest line. Which I've already ruined because I found something out when I was googling vampirism after I caught vampiric sanguine or whatever it's called...

Re: Skyrim 2.0
Yeah ive been avoiding reading forums ect myself for the very same reason. Kinda makes finding the EPIC look all that more rewarding.
