Just read about the markath bug. The quest "A night to remember" could be a possible solution?

You've probably done it already though. I started it in some random inn west of whiterun, the chap in that spoiler started it in whiterun.
You'll know if you've done it, the quest eventually gives you the sanguine rose.

Re: Skyrim
As promised from the Borderlands 2 thread.
Too many annoying things on Skyrim at the moment.
My character isn't going to get many more perks unless I level loads of skills I dont use like one hand, two hand, block and destruction. I need said perks because I want some skills like silent casting which is waaay up the illusion tree. Levelling light armour would be nice too but as I am an archer it doesnt level too quickly. Letting Wolves beat on me was taking ages and also very very boring.
I still can't find a detect life spell which would be really handy to complete my stealthy archer dude.
I am yet to find a single "resist magic" item that I can disenchant (which I am sure you can) so I can make some magic resist dragon armour. I keep finding ancient and elder dragons at the moment and have to try and run away because they melt all of my health in one breath!
And I am just a little bit sick of exploring. And I thought helping the Stormcloaks was a good idea but now I don't like them. Yet I don't like the Battle Borns in whiterun and they're Imperial sides and I helped the Storm Cloaks who seemed nice and they're Stormcloak. So I'm a bit confused about that.

Re: Skyrim
Had a play on this over the weekend and got back into a little. Decided to play it "properly" and what will be will be. I got to solitude for the first time and some bloke was being executed. I ran up to take a look and all the imperial soldiers started attacking me. I wiped them out and killed captain ardis (or summit) so I hope he wasn't important
All of that only cost me a 1,000 septim fine. Happy days.
Decided to finally follow the main quest for a bit and going after some horn of something or other. Seems a few more scripted things and bit more fun. Just got some shout for becoming ethereal. Got loads of shouts now but can't use any because I haven't followed the main q!

Re: Skyrim
I ended up getting a large bounty in Solitude too, I nearly got in trouble for that public execution but they kept telling me to "stand back" so I did. Ended up murdering some people in the lighthouse then the shit hit the fan. Never had the money to pay the fine but tried to continue doing missions in Solitude and racked up my bounty.

Re: Skyrim
Yeah, made me laugh because I was planning on joining the Legion but I ran up to the stand and got started on. Some Khajit called Jee-Ra (or something, I've now started the Lights out quest with him) wouldn't die, he was invincible, so I had to pay the fine. Now loads of people walk around saying "oh gosh what happened here?". Idiots. Amazingly I can still join the Legion. But I couldn't care less really, the legion/stormcloaks are as bad as each other. I should kill them all.skeletor wrote:I ended up getting a large bounty in Solitude too, I nearly got in trouble for that public execution but they kept telling me to "stand back" so I did. Apparently you can go with the Stormcloaks or Legion at the start, I've started it three times now and gone with the Legion in the tower not knowing you could go another way

Re: Skyrim
I didn't cotton on to it at first either until I read something online then started it again on PC version and then realised that the other bloke says to come with him. Not very obvious.Revolver wrote:Apparently you can go with the Stormcloaks or Legion at the start, I've started it three times now and gone with the Legion in the tower not knowing you could go another way
Re: Skyrim
Suppose it was by luck that i came across these so first time. I didnt join though - always said i will go back at a later stage and do it. Might bang out a few hours on it tonight, finish up my side quests and start on the main story again. Thing is, as your finishing the side quests, your picking up another 2 for every 1 you complete...

Re: Skyrim
So true. My miscellaneous list is ridiculously large and I must have 10 or more quests to do along with the main quest. It's hard to balance up what to do and know what to prioritise.METRIC wrote:Suppose it was by luck that i came across these so first time. I'm level 49 now and can't even use my shouts. But on the other hand I have legendary dragonscale armour and legendary daedric bow, with two legendary daedric swords all with duel enchants. I haven't done the whole alchemy, enchant cycle, I can't be arsed with that, its more of a exploit than an achievement, I just have a set of "crafting armor" that improves smithing and alchemy and I try and pop a potion at the same time if I can.
You get so lost when you start to do something, mostly because I hate passing a mine/ruin without exploring it. So as soon as I have a quest on the other side of a map I won't get to it for a week. Look at The Companion quest line for example. I became a werewolf and did one quest and that is pretty much it, I've got laods to do on it. Speaking of which I am not sure if I want to stay a werewolf. I prefer being neither werewolf or vamp but its nice having the immune to disease benefit and you only really lose rested bonus.
See, I've re read most of this post and it's such a mess because you talk about one thing and lead on to another, that just sums up the game for me
