Planetside 2

I was just making a thread saying that E3 was full of so many good looking new games that it would be a pain to make a thread for each. Then I started typing about Planetside 2. It looks incredible.

I may be wrong but I have a feeling it is taking the free to play model rather than the old pay monthly that the first Planetside had. I don't know if you need to buy the game or not to start with though.

Watch Dogs from Ubisoft looked interesting but seemed a bit too scripted.

I don't really know what that Planetside game is about, just looked like a Unreal/Quake/Halo clone.

It's an MMOFPS where you choose one of three factions and have massive wars with thousands per server on massive maps. The only problem with the first one, which I don't see how it will differ, is that there wasn't much point to it. You'd fight for hours to take over a location only to log on the next night and it will be back in the hands of the enemy.

Hmm, I can see this failing like All Points Bulletin, spent £30 odd on that piece of shit and they eventually closed the servers then made it a free to play game after it was bought by another company.

The original Planetside was massively popular though and carried on for a good length of time.
