Looks amazing.

Heard they where working on this engine couple years back, bout time we seen something on it. As far as im concerned, far surpasses the Unreal 4 engine - however, i have no doubt that the Unreal 4 engine will 10times easier to use. Epic make GAME ENGINES - all Sqaure Enix engines to date have been MIDDLEWARE ENGINES. Meaning you need much larger teams to program all the tools that are missing from game engines.

Lets hope the new FF will run off this :D and lets hope its a FFVII remake :D

I don't understand why they keep making their own engines.

Square made The Last Remnant which was done in the U3 engine and that turned out pretty well despite a bit of text pop-in which all U3 engine games do.

well, THIS engine is why they make their own engines :P they can tailor it to do exactly as they need.
