Steam Sale

Post by Revolver »

I fully expect a summer sale soon when just about everything wil be on sale along with daily deals. However, there is for now LA Noire available for £4.99 or £6.24 with the DLC included. I know it's supposed to have it's flaws but for a fiver I think it'll be worth a pop.

Also, Tribes: Ascend is now live on steam. I was going to download it before and give it a go but decided to wait for steam. There is a starter pack that is half price at £7.50 (until 4th July) which includes some weapon/class unlocks and about £6/£7 of in game credit. I think I'll give it a go over the weekend then decide if I want to invest in another "free to play" game. The original tribes were pretty fantastic though. The best of which Tribes: Vengeance I never did play. Go figure. It could be a good distraction before Planetside 2 comes along anyway.

Hate Steam sales. Always buy games that I never play. Need to avoid Steam store as much as possible.

Still waiting for ARMA2 to go on sale (for more than 20%). Going to be away most of the weekend though and it will probably end up being a daily deal and I'll miss it. Only want to play DayZ and a few other mods.

Didn't even realise they had started. I'm not so sure Arma will go on sale for a while. Around xmas time the whole arma package was on sale for about £10. Really wish I had bought it now.

Day Z actually looks good fun but I tihnk it is something that need's to be played with friends.

Just noticed, anyone who hasn't played Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic it is £1.74 definitely one of the greatest RPG's I played.

Bloody Nora, it's started. Metro 2033 and Crysis for £3.75 and £2.99 is what I'll end up buying when home tonight. I ordered Skyrim from amazon last week for £19.50 (hoping to transfer save from Xbox) and that's now £17.50 on steam lol.

Sale has been going for a 5-6 days I think.

I bought Tribes and I was shit at it.
Sideways won't run, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 was too slow and the AI was shit, The Binding Of Isaac is actually not a bad indie game but again, I am shit at it.
Also bought Trine 2 but haven't played it yet.

Crysis pack is £9.99 today.

The Bethesda pack is a good deal. Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas (inc DLC) for just £31 (both games separately are £17 each) - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/15263/

Whole Valve catalog is only £25

My wallet hates Valve.

Still got 550GB of space on that drive.

I have a drive dedicated to Steam. When it eventually fails I am going to cry. Will take ages to download it all again. Well in theory it should only take 20 hours but I would get throttled by Virgin after a few GB which means it would then take around 1000 hours.

Ah then there is still enough space for CS:GO (just)

That is a big disadvantage of buying games online. Also pretty lame that you get throttled by your ISP.
Put your Steam drive in raid 10 to be sure it won't fail

Knowing my luck there would be an electrical fire and I would lose all the drives.
