Source Filmmaker
Re: Source Filmmaker
Looks nice, but I don't really see the purpose of it. Maybe I'm missing something, but would I want to make a movie from a game scene?
The software itself looks pretty good.

Yeah, some really good stuff has come out from people using it.

Pretty cool video.
Using the Source engine as an animation tool (I guess that's what this software is about) is clever.
Normally this would take ages to create in Maya.

Re: Source Filmmaker
It basically packages absolutely everything in to one package. Looks really good and you can apparently use your own custom models so you could do your own mini-films.
Re: Source Filmmaker
Still gonna need software like Maya/3D-MAX to do that though.skeletor wrote: apparently use your own custom models so you could do your own mini-films.

Re: Source Filmmaker
Yeah but the harder stuff of animating and lip-sync etc is done for you by filmmaker. And if you are using the TF2 stuff you can actually play and record in game and see everything playing out in realtime.liquid wrote:Still gonna need software like Maya/3D-MAX to do that though.skeletor wrote: apparently use your own custom models so you could do your own mini-films.
Re: Source Filmmaker
You mean the fun stuff of animating
I can see the point, could be fun to create a movie. Wouldn't pay for the software though.
