Think you have found a good map to go on the server, post a link to it here.

texturing

Post by liquid »

Came up with the idea to make a map in Tomb Raider style. Maybe something like a canyon with a waterfall and a T-Rex :D
I already made a model of a T-Rex in Maya, but now comes the hardest part: TEXTURING
Already did a bit, but I just suck at texturing... Is there anyone who can do better?

Not me but looks awesome. Metric does that sort of stuff but I don't know if he does the texturing.

I thought you could because of the "Skels CSS Skins" forum section :D

The side of my texture isn't too bad, but I don't have proper images of the top and bottom. Tried some clonestamping but it looks horrible.
Maybe you can make a pink one with daisys on it ;)

Most of the textures that I did for the weapons was just extracting the existing skin, opening it in Photoshop.

Then I upscaled it and made various enhancements so it didn't look so blurry then saved it in the right format.

I remember the daisy skin but I really can't remember creating it. I guess I did it the same way.

I think Peter is still in N.America till Sunday. So we can ask him then, but I've never known him to do texturing? I'd love to help but wouldn't have a clue where to start. I could learn, but I probably won't

If you know Photoshop you're pretty much on your way. The hardest part is finding good reference images. You could draw them yourself, but I can't do that.

Never used photoshop in my life. I'm really just a game geek, not a lot more :(
