His laugh was annoying more than anything. Always took a few seconds after a punchline to come in, sounded fake and forced.

Saw Alan Davies do stand up at Selhurst Park at the end of last season for a charity thing, he was brilliant. If you get a chance to see him (he's on tour at the moment) then do so.

People who don't like Jimmy Carr are the ones who are offended by him
Don't know how people don't find him funny but nevermind.

I like some of his stand up which is when he is by himself, but when he is with other comedians who are superior to him (i.e. quicker with a joke etc.) then he just comes across as cringe-worthy.

Vicky Coren who was on last Fridays QI was brilliant especially her comments regarding the "jigger" when talking about the Ouija board.

I think they just force him to calm down a bit on normal tv in his stand-up
he goes all out which is probably why you find him funnier because he doesn't have to
worry about tv channels bitching about what he says hahaha

Jimmy Carr can be funny but stand up is very different to panel shows. Especially when you're with a semi intelligent bunch of people.

It's nothing to do with being toned down, he jut wasn't intelligent enough or quick enough to be funny on QI and resorts to cheap and tacky jokes. You'd have to watch it to understand Blaze.

I've watched a few episodes if it's the show with Stephen Fry but not seen the
one with Jimmy on but most panel shows I have seen him on He's managed to entertain me.

It's OK, we'll let you off

This weeks was not as good. But that's probably because there was some sort of feminine invasion with Sue Perkins, LiZa Tarbuck and Jo Brand. Even Alan Davies looked like he didn't want to be there

You know it's bad when Alan Davies is the 2nd smartest person on the show.

I don't get Sue Perkins, just don't find her funny at all. Liza Tarbuck has her moments and not a big fan of Jo Brand but saw her live back in May and she was hilarious.

Have you guys ever watch The Big Fat Quiz of the year and all it's additions?
Jimmy Carr hosts that it's usually pretty funny.

No. I tried watching the Comedy World Cup (I think that's what it was called) which was on 4 or 5 and thought that was crap. Didn't help that it had Alan Carr and Micky Flannigan on.
