Razer Deathadder

Post by Revolver »

I suppose this is technically a hardware question so here it is in hardware talk. Has anyone had or does use a deathadder? I've been using it for a few months now and haven't been getting on with it the best. I thought I would get used to it but then I noticed something last night (or the night before maybe, who cares). What I noticed was, I wasn't even "one hitting" items on my desktop. What I mean is, normally, i move the mouse and bang, im on the "x" to close a program or ready to double click and icon. I was slowly centreing (is that even a word) on the location I wanted the pointer to be. My pointing is CRAP with this mouse.

I don't get all the settings if I am honest, there are like 4 points of sensitivity and stuff, no idea what you're supposed to do with them. I'm quite tempted to go and get my diamondback out the roof because that was simple. Plus in, choose a setting (including on the fly which was easier than deathadder) and away you go.

Any tips on the deathadder to make life simple? I don't want none of the acceleration nonsense or slowing down to 500dpi when I'm zoomed in on a sniper. Pain in the ass this technical crap.

Oh and I read that I should maybe just max everything and set sensitivity in windows and in game etc. Is that true? Because that might bea good starting point!

Nope. Although I did used to have a Razer mouse and it may have been the Deathadder. I ended up selling it on eBay. I never got on with it and went to Logitech instead with a MX518 then a G7, much better. Now have a Microsoft X8 Sidewinder and it's great.

I've actually sacked the Deathadder off and gone back to my Diamondback for now. The deathadder is just too large i think. I use a "claw grip" apparently and for some reason I just don't get on with the Deathadder. I'll perhaps look at picking something else up in the near future.
